We did what is called a "drift dive". This time we will not swim back to the boat and its anchor line. The dive boat is not anchored. The divers drift with the underwater currents. Normally on drift dives the scuba divers tow with them a "diver down" flag on the surface. We are not doing this because we will be going through coral tunnels, as I did at those previous dive sites. It would be impossible to tow a flag on the surface and go through an underwater tunnel. It is the captain's job to find us when we come up. Here is a reef photo at 90 feet |
