Getting to the dive sites was a big part of this trip.

In September 2001 Norewgian Cruise Lines launched a new ship: The Norwegian Sun.

This cruise was in December 2001. The ship was three (3) months old.

Except for the pier in Cozumel, getting from the ship to the dive sites involved either boarding a shuttle boat for transportation, or being picked up by the dive boat, itself.

This is a photo of the ship taken from one of the shuttle boats. I am on my way to a dive site.

The arrow below points to our stateroom's balcony.

The ports did not have harbors large enough to dock this large a ship.

Inside accommodations were important, too. If you are going to enjoy a trip, it is nice to be comfortable.

Stateroom From Balcony to Door

This ship was built with staterooms with balconies and spacious interior suites.

Well . . . SOMEONE had to stay in it! . . . . .. (click)
